Wanted: Player Sphere Lead for Diplomacy!

We're recruiting a player Sphere Lead for Diplomacy! Much like the Class Leads for Adventuring, we're looking for someone who truly loves Diplomacy and wishes to help make the sphere even better.

The Sphere Lead will be the point person for player issues in Diplomacy. While the Diplomacy devs will continue to interact with players as before, the Sphere Lead will help the devs understand the players' top issues and provide a sounding board for upcoming changes before they go live.

Ideally, the Sphere Lead should be able to play on Test server for at least some portion of each week to assist us in testing and feedback with the latest updates. The Sphere Lead will be asked to join the Diplomacy testing guild “Kaerellun’s Chosen” as one of the guild leaders if selected.

We’re closing applications on 8/22, and will announce your new Sphere Lead on 8/24. While lobbying for the position is acceptable (as long as personal attacks are avoided and forum rules are adhered to), the Diplomacy devs (Linear_Core and Aruspex) are solely responsible for choosing the Sphere Lead. If you are not chosen, it is not because you are unqualified, it is because we are poor decision makers.

- Previous testing experience, guild leadership experience, and your experience playing Diplomacy.
- Explain your single favorite feature of Diplomacy.
- Explain what one feature you most would like to see in Diplomacy.

Congrats Demilia! I've had you in my friends list forever, because you were very helpful to me when I started diplomacy, even though you've probably forgotton me, lol. I've been off crafting for a long time, and am just returning to diplomacy, and am delighted to see you as sphere lead!

I think rest xp was added for the casual soloer.
Lots of money is made in crafting maybe its to manage gold flow? I don't know.

The rest bar was added quite a long time ago due to calls from the community at that time, in keeping with what many other games are/were/have instituted.

As to the experience gains in each sphere, they have already been addressed quite a while back and are working on the same mechanic. There are additional factors in crafting and diplomacy that effect the value of exp gained from a recipe/parley. For recipes (work orders and standard recipes) the exp is adjusted based upon the level of the recipe and the number of complications encountered during the recipe. For diplomacy, the control that one keeps over the conversation will effect the exp gained.
