Game Description

Convince Kavarah or her assistant, Jazal, to let you return a Transcendent Spirit Lily to Alad.

Walkthrough

From Alad, head southeast, Kavarah and Jazal are a few meters outside the walls. Once you have convinced them, harvest the Lily from the cart behind Jazal.

Quest Offering

Alad Jakarre says, "I have heard that a famed botanist is traveling just outside of our outpost here! I would love to go and speak with her myself, but I am rnuch too busy - much, much too busy. Besides, you seem a capable speaker. Would you talk to her for me?"

"I hear she is is carrying a rare breed of Spirit Lily with her, and I would very much like to study it. If she is not willing to give it up, well, maybe her assistant would be - if you catch rny meaning." He winks.

Speak with Kavarah the Botanist about letting Alad study the Transcendent Spirit Lily. If she will not permit it, try speaking with her assistant, Jazal.

Kavarah

You say, "Kavarah, it is an honor to meet you."

She smiles and says, "Why, aren't you sweet! I am certainly not so important as to deserve that."

You nod and say, "Don't be so modest. Many pioneering discoveries in the field of botany are connected to your name." She waves her hand and says, "Nature creates the flowers. I simply find thern."

You say, "I am not your only fan in the area it seems. Alad Jakarre over at the Trading Company also thinks very highly of you."

Her srnile wavers and she says, "Oh? The one who sent me the note about my lily?"

"I suppose so," you say, "all I know is that he says you are a genius."

She frowns slightly and nods. "He wants the lily, though," she says. "And he isn't willing to take no for an answer."

You nod and say, "He did say sornething about it."

She shakes her head and says, "He would experiment with it without knowing what he is getting himself into..."

"Its power is not one that should be treated lightly," she says.

You nod and say, "I will let him know what you said."

Jazad

You say, "Apprentice Jazal, does your master treat you well?"

He nods and says, "Fairly well, yes. She is very knowledgeable."

You ask, "Do you get to handle the flowers much?"

He shakes his head and says, "Oh no, I have a few more years of memorizing flower names and locations before I can get that..."

You note the tone of bitterness and say, "You don't sound happy with that."

He shrugs and says, "I just wish she had more confidence in me. She makes me take care of the flowers once they are all wrapped up and everything."

"And yet she won't let me actually pick or find them," he says. "I guess I am good enough for the boring work."

You ask, "So you handle the flowers once they have been picked?"

He nods and inclines his head toward the cart. "They're all in there. I have to drag it around."

You say, "Your master should have more faith in you. You seem like a smart young man."

He beams and nods, saying, "Oh I arn, and I care very much about botany!"

"Say," you say, "could you show me her collection? Just one look. I promise that I won't touch anything."

He looks dubious for a moment and then srniles and nods, saying, "Sure. Go ahead and take a look in the cart."

"Just rnake sure she doesn't see you!" he warns.
