Walkthrough

Speak to Xethamir the Despoiler and Convince him to. Xethamir is in the northeast corner of the Main Hall of the Qur'xa Temple, at /loc 10703, -4208, -16062.

Return to Prince Hrod and hail him to complete the quest.

Dialogue

Quest Offering

"The Pyrelords are more dangerous to us than the enemy. Regardless, the council has demanded that we do everything we an to recruit them. The gate they control is potentially the only other way onto Telon. If Lomshir were to fall then we would be forced onto the defensive against the despicable ahnd'ka."

"Do all that you can to recruit Xethamir and the Pyrelords into the coalition. Beware not to invite his fury though. You are still of some use to use."

Xethamir the Despoiler

You say, "Xethamir the Despoiler, Pyrelord of Infernus, I speak on behalf of the kurashasa council and our sybarite allies."

Xethamir the Despolier rattles aggressively, "I wonder which is subservient to the other?"

You say, "The sybarites are members of our coalition, not the other way around, I assure you."

Xethamir the Despoiler laughs. "And yet you ahve done nothing but meet their demands throughout this pathetic temple, running errands for them."

You nod. "The sybarites command great power in the coalition, but not as much as the Pyrelords might, should they join us."

Xethamir the Despoiler laughs harder. "There is no reason for us to join with the kurashasa."

You say, "The elves of Telon have slighted your people. We could assist you in your vengeance."

Xethamir the Despoiler roars, "Our vengeance shall be our own, kurashasa! You would be wise to stay clear of us."

You suggest, "The sybarites desire a great many treasures from the elves. If we were to ally, all would benefit."

Xethamir the Despoiler says, "Should their remain any that we do not reduce to smoking ash, they are free to either pick from the blackened ruins - or purchase from us with gifts of power and tribute."

You say, "The kurashasa desire this alliance, Pyrelord Xethamir. As allies, your power increases."

Xethamir the Despoiler says, "The kurashasa ain is pure, I agree, but so long as you choose to ally with these other fools, the Pyrelords will remain neutral."

You ask, "What do you hope to gain by denying our offer? Magnate Rikzik has already indicated that he will work closely with you to recover elven relics in exchange for more power. His 50 obliterators are proof of that."

Xethamir the Despoiler says, "Should Lomshir fall to the ahnd'ka, then we shall talk."

You say, "It is folloy to wait for such an event; it might be too late to stop them then."

Xethamir the Despoiler says, "All the more reason why it will put the Pyrelords in a position of total power with the only functional gate to Telon. We are done here."

Quest Completion

You say, "Xethamir was unswayable. He has indicated that when Lomshir falls, the Pyrelords might consider dealing then as their position of power is absolute then."

Prince Hrod hisses, "Miserable fools. They will burn themselves out soon enough, but until then it is best we avoid their flame."
