Walkthrough

Scar Garlock is standing outside the bank. Distract him by saying there has been a disturbance.

Banker Gazbik is inside the bank. Incite him to take a nap.

Dialogue

Quest Offering

Margan glances around and says, "Can you keep a secret? Good."

"We are here staking out the bank. My wife and I and going to rob it." He looks a little bashful. As bashful as an orc can look. "We heard many stories of the Thestrans Steppan and Dae, and we like what they do. The people of Martok are as in need as any of the other people of Telon."

"Would you help us by distracting Scar Farlock and the banker? Not that we could not do it without your help, but, well, you know."

Scar Garlock

You say, "Scar Garlok, there's been a disturbance."

"A disturbance?" asks Scar Garlok, "Of what kind?"

"I am not certain," you say. "I think it had to do with a visitor."

"A visitor?" asks Scar Garlok, frowning. "A whelp from Thestra?"

You nod and say, "I think so."

Scar Garlok mutters and narrows his eyes at you. "We should not allow anyone onto Martok but Martok."

You remain plain faced and say, "That can be debated later. Now, you are needed."

"Who is it that sent for me?" asks Scar Garlok.

"Scar Jorlag," you say. "At the main dock."

"All the way over there?" asks Scar Garlok. "Does he really need me?"

"He said that you are particularly good (with) dealing with unruly visitors," you say.

Scar Garlok grins and says, "That is true. And I enjoy it."

You nod and say, "Which is why he asked for you."

"I will go right now," says Scar Garlok. "Furiki can watch the bank alone for awhile."

Banker Gazbik

You say, "Banker Gazbik, do you always stand here?"

Banker Gazbik glances at you sharply and asks, "What do you mean?"

"I always see you standing rhere, night and day," you say.

"Well," says Banker Gazbik, "the Martok bank is in my hands. I cannot very well leave it."

"Don't you have a home?" you ask.

Banker Gazbik nods and says, "My room is upstairs... Not sure how long it's been since I was actually there. I tend to take catnaps as I stand here."

You ask, "Have you had one recently?"

Banker Gazbik seems to wobble a little and yawns. "Now that you mention it, not really."

"And you're not tired?" you ask. "If you were tired, you might make a mistake in your accounting."

Banker Gazbik's eyes get a little wider. "A mistake? No. Never! Not me."

You shrug and say, "If you were tired, I could hardly blame you for giving out an extra gold at withdrawal... Writing down that someone had a silver more than they did."

Banker Gazbik looks more and more fearful. "Do you really think that I could have made such a mistake?"

You shrug and say, "With how much you work, it is very possible."

Banker Gazbik frets and says, "Maybe I should take a nap..."

You nod and say, "Just a short one. I am sure customers will understand. I will stay here and tell them you are asleep."

Banker Gazbik looks at you gratefully. "I won't even leave," he says. "I'll sleep right here. Thank you for the good advice."

Quest Completion

Margan says, "So much gold! Now, to give it away."

[Continue]

Margan smiles at you and says, "You can say to yourself, 'I helped them on their first heist,' when they tell stories about us like they (do) Steppan and Dae."

Margan again looks oddly bashful for an orc. "Yes, it was our first heist... Everyone has to start somewhere."
