Adding a page for a piece of Clothing

Creating the new page

To create the page, use the Search box in the left column of the Wiki. Type in the exact name of the piece of clothing (using the correct capitalisation of the letters) and press Enter or click Go.

The Wiki should display a message saying that the page does not exist and offering you the chance to edit it.

Click the Link to open the page and start editing.

The Template

To make things easy, all you have to do is fill in a template to start. Copy the below and paste it in:

Filling in the blanks

The template takes care of the formatting, you just have to provide it with some information.

After each of the field's with an = sign, add the proper info. Delete any unused lines. The below table explains each field.

name	Enter the name of the clothing. Left blank, this will default to the name of the page.
slot	The slot of the item. Enter only one of the following: Chest, Legs, Wrists, Waist, Held, Feet, Hands, Cloak, Neck, Shoulders, Finger, Ears, Head. ANYTHING else will cause a problem.
diplomacy	The minimum Diplomacy level required to equip the item.
academic	The amount of Academic presence the item gives when worn. Defaults to 0 if left blank.
clergy	The amount of Clergy presence the item gives when worn. Defaults to 0 if left blank.
crafter	The amount of Crafter presence the item gives when worn. Defaults to 0 if left blank.
domestic	The amount of Domestic presence the item gives when worn. Defaults to 0 if left blank.
merchant	The amount of Merchant presence the item gives when worn. Defaults to 0 if left blank.
noble	The amount of Noble presence the item gives when worn. Defaults to 0 if left blank.
outsider	The amount of Outsider presence the item gives when worn. Defaults to 0 if left blank.
soldier	The amount of Soldier presence the item gives when worn. Defaults to 0 if left blank.
quest	If the item is available as the reward from one or more quests, enter the names as links on this line.
parley	If the item is available as a straight reward from parleys (e.g. Bartenders, enter links to the relevant NPCs or other pages here.
civictier	If the item is available in exchange for Information obtained from Civic Diplomacy, you should enter the tier of information here. It should be one of Crude, Significant, Essential, Vital, or Unequalled.
civicquality	If the item is available in exchange for Information obtained from Civic Diplomacy, you should enter the tier of information here. It should be one of Hearsay, Rumor, or Evidence.
civictype	If the item is available in exchange for Information obtained from Civic Diplomacy, you should enter the tier of information here. It should be one of Arcana, Blackmail, Plots, or Trends.
image	The full name of the image on the DiploWiki, if it exists.

Adding a picture

Currently only moderators and administrators can upload a picture. So, if you have one and there already isn't one for that piece of clothing, find yourself one of them and send them the picture to be uploaded!

If the image does exist (and be sure to search for it, sometimes it's there!) all you have to do is copy down the name and put it in the "image" field of the template and it'll show up. It's that easy!

Preview & Save

Once all your information is entered into the template, click "Show Preview" at the bottom and make sure that everything looks ok. If something is wrong, check the template and fix any errors. Once everything looks good, click "Save Page" and pat yourself on the back -- you've helped make the DiploWiki even better!

If you want to add something to the page that you cannot enter in the notes= line, you should insert it immediately above or below the {{ClothingDetails|{{PAGENAME}}}} line.
