Game Description

Inform Magnate Nargol that the Umbrals will work for him, but remind him that you need the sybarites to join the kurashasa before the killing starts.

Walkthrough

Return to Magnate Nargol (in the Northwest corner of the main hall) and Convince him that "Patience Is Crucial".

Hail him again to complete the quest.

Dialogue

Quest Offering

"You have kept your word, kurashasa, and now I shall keep mine. Magnate Nargol may hire me to hunt down this rival Magnate of his."

Umbral Vraal adds, "Inform him that we can meet privately to discuss the finer points of this agreement."

Magnate Nargol

• You say, "Magnate, the deal is done."

• Magnate Nargol asks, "Really? Splendid. This is a momentous day."

• You add, "Umbral Vraal has agreed to meet with you more privately to discuss the finer points of the agreement."

• Magnate Nargol smiles. "Ah, a true professional. Tell me, how did you get him to agree?"

• You say, "He agreed quite eagerly, actually."

• Magnate Nargol frowns. "I do not understand. All of my attemots to negotiate failed utterly."

• You smile. "He was previously engaged with a contract already. Once it was accomplished, he jumped on your offer."

• Magnate Nargol smiles. "So he wasn't being rude, just efficient... I like that."

• You say, "The mention of a sybarite contract was particularly exciting to him."

• Magnate Nargol comments, "Ah, yes, there are few who can resist the lure of sybarite wealth."

• You merely nod, not mentioning that it was the chance to kill a sybarite that was enticing.

• Magnate Nargol says, "With Vraal at my comment, it shall be quite easy to wrestle control of Telon from the other Magnates."

• You say, "Through fear, I assume."

• Magnate Nargol laughs. "Through death."

• You remind Nargol, "Remember, Magnate, that the kurashasa need the sybarite alliance first. Once that is in place, your politics are your own."

• Magnate Nargol hisses disdainfully. "And since when do the kurashasa dictate the policies of the mightly sybarites?"

• You say, "It is not us, but your prince, who dictates this policy. I could bring this up with him if you wanted."

Quest Completion

"Very well, <Player>. We shall play things your way."

Magnate Nargol continues, "But once the alliance is formed, I fully intend to utilize my own allies to secure my position. It would be best if you stayed out of the way."

"Here is the money I promised you. If you expect to spend it then I expect you to keep silent on this matter."
