Starting Diplomacy in Leth Nurae

See also High Elf Tutorial Quest Line

The city of Leth Nurae has a rich history that draws on many years of Elvish culture. High Elves who choose to pursue diplomacy begin with an engrossing starter quest line that gives insight into the current state of the Elvish Queendom. There is much conflict both within the city and without, and it is up to the Elvish diplomats to unite the city against its enemies.

The rewards of the High Elven diplomacy quest line are in line with those of other races. The held item is the Scepter of the Rose and the card rewards are the standard reason-based assortment (including Elven Wisdom and Absolution).

The horse quest is available at the completion of the starter line and leads the aspiring High Elf diplomat first to Veksal's Exchange and then on to Three Rivers, both of which have strong diplomacy options and quests of their own. The road between Veskal's and Three Rivers is a bit perilous, making the Elvish horse quest a little more difficult than some of the other races.

Leth Nurae also has a very diverse Civic Diplomacy population that will allow High Elves to skill up and gain several different presence factions without ever leaving home. Leth Nurae is a popular stop for diplomats as well, so there are usually plenty of higher level diplomats around who are happy to help out a new diplomat.

Visitors to Leth Nurae

Luca Penderfield is a Halfling vendor in the Merchant area who sells diplomacy clothing and accessories. While her wares are purely for looks, she does have a nice selection of diplomacy cloaks in several colors.

Civic Diplomacy

The High Elves are a reason based race, and because of this the Gossip parley type is not available in civic diplomacy in Leth Nurae. (See Racial Expression Types). Demand-based races usually do well here.

The city is predominantly academic, clergy, and solider, along with a large cluster of higher skill nobles. Many lower skill soldiers path throughout the city, but there are several clusters of academics and clergy which are stationary. Check here for a comprehensive listing.

Leth Nurae has one informant who deals in arcana, Talloan Aruspecil, who is located on the main walkway in front of the Arcane Sanctum, /loc .
